I pride myself in having the finest boat and fishing equipment in the industry. I am sponsored by several of the best companies in our industry and will always have top notch equipment in good working order. I am currently fishing a 2013 Maverick Mirage HPX VII which in my opinion is the finest technical skiff in the world. The ride is soft, dry, and extremely quiet. The boat is outfitted with everything you need. Premium Lowrance Electronics, Yeti Cooler, Yamaha F70 4 Stroke, as well as a casting cage for balance on the rough days. For my tackle I am using Echo, Sage, Lamiglass and Hardy rods as well as Hatch and Loop reels. I am also very fortunate to be a Regional pro for Echo, Airflo, and Lamiglass. The last thing you want is to lose the fish of a lifetime due to equipment failure and I have taken every possible step to make sure you will be fishing the best.
I can’t say enough about Maverick Skiffs. Maverick has been in the business since the beginning and they produce some of the finest, shallow water, technical skiffs in the industry. I have fished on pretty much every make and model and my 17 HPXV2 fits my needs perfectly for our gulf coast fishery. Fish The Legend!
Hatch fly reels are made right here in the USA! When fishing for tarpon you better have a good fly reel. I have seen way too many reels fail and lose big fish. That’s why I have chosen to fish the best.
Family boating in Tampa has been there for me from the start. They helped me purchase my guide skiff and were very helpful in the process. Since then their customer service and support has been incredible. I can’t thank them enough. Go check out their lineup of Maverick Skiffs!
Echo Fly Rods are the absolute best of both worlds. They cast extremely well and are very hard to break. I have broken more than my share of rods and enjoy pulling hard on fish. Echo fly rods have never let me down even when clients wrap them around the gunnels of my boat.
I wear SIMMS fishing clothes almost every single day both on and off the water. Their performance and comfort are second to none. When you’re poling for tarpon 10 hours a day, 4 months straight, and its hot as hell you better be wearing the best.
Lamiglas makes some of the best spinning and fly rods out there. They produce a variety of saltwater specific rods now and I use them almost specifically for my spinning rods. From tarpon to seatrout these rods have done extremely well for me.
